# Kimi Code

> Run Kimi Code through Vercel AI Gateway in Replicas workspaces.

Replicas supports [Kimi Code](https://github.com/MoonshotAI/kimi-code) through its Agent Client Protocol server.

## Setup

1. Create a key in [Vercel AI Gateway](https://vercel.com/ai-gateway).
2. Paste it under **Kimi Code → Vercel AI Gateway API Key** in [Coding Agents settings](https://replicas.dev/dashboard/agents).
3. Set an organization credential, or add a personal key to override it.

## Using Kimi Code

Choose **Kimi Code** from the workspace agent picker. Replicas runs `kimi acp` and negotiates the capabilities advertised by Kimi Code.

Kimi Code supports persistent sessions, streamed reasoning and tool activity, Plan Mode, model and thinking controls, image input, interruption, and queued-message steering.

Kimi Code runs with full workspace permissions. Before each tool runs, Replicas applies your organization's security policies and returns any block reason to the agent.

Models come from Vercel AI Gateway. `moonshotai/kimi-k2.6` is the default.

## Programmatic Use

Use `kimi` anywhere Replicas accepts a coding-agent provider:

replicas send REPLICA_ID -a kimi -m "Run the tests again"
```
