Replicas retains workspace data so teams can review completed work, resume context, and inspect workspace history after a workspace sleeps. The primary retention control is Save chat and Canvas history. When enabled, Replicas stores workspace chat transcripts and Canvas files after sleep, so they remain available while a workspace is sleeping or archived. When disabled, chat and Canvas history is available only while the workspace is awake. Repository files are stored separately and are not controlled by this setting. Sleeping or archiving preserves the workspace branch and repository changes; wake the workspace to load its existing chat and files. Disabling workspace data retention is available during the free trial and on Team and Enterprise plans. To turn retention off:
  1. Go to Organization → Settings → Preferences
  2. Find Workspace History, then Save chat and Canvas history
  3. Toggle the switch off
